What Recession? There is No Recession!
Practically all the countries in the world are almost bankrupt except for China, Brazil, Singapore, Japan and a few others. Thus the conundrum of the millennium is where did all the money go? It was all a game of monopoly because it really did not exist; or did it. Germany is experiencing growth as are Canada and Australia while the US has small signs of growth but the entire world cries out for creative solutions
Well when we look at the wee city/country of Singapore who have plugged 30 billion into its economy we may guess what direction the money has gone; at least someone is benefiting. In proper perspective without being patronizing every recession has brought opportunities so if we may adjust our mindset we may attract ideas that may spring into workable opportunities.
Meanwhile back at the ranch it is good to know one thing. Recession is a mindset and just because myriad media outlets spell doom and gloom does not mean we have to believe them. It is commonly known that journalism schools preach that there is no profit in good news so consequently they have to preach the end of the world. Due to the flight or fight response built into our DNA we automatically scamper like mice hearing a cat approaching.
To be frugal sometimes is quite a good thing and we really should thank our blessings that it is not worse than it is; because it could be. So consequently let us believe in the reality of more versus less. Look 10% unemployment means that we have a whopping 90% employment, 13% translates to 87% so let us use this profitable spectrum as our springboard and that is good news worth celebrating. Sure we have massive debt but so does most of the world economies and it will get paid but it does not have to be today tomorrow or before the next blue moon.
If tomorrow morning you picked up the morning paper and turned on the local or even world news and the headlines flowing across the screen and being emitted by presenters highlighted all the booming economies across the globe; your mindset would change instantly. You would have a skip in your step a smile on your face and probably call some friends to book a game of golf or a fishing trip that had been long over due.
Brazil is booming, Japan is growing, China is growing and so is India and there was a time when the tide was turned the other way in our favour which reminds us of the circle of life. Even Europe and the US have growth in certain sectors they just do not have it in all sectors; which begs the question what new industry is waiting. The Algae Industry is waiting and while developments are appearing weekly the world is very slow on the uptake of this potential economic saving vehicle.
When we analyse history we se the circles have always been here so there is never anything new especially our lack of savings that should carry us through downtimes. We need to embrace faith and I am not talking about religions but actual faith in the Divine Spirit Within; our GOD GIVEN SOUL.
This is where we shall find the resourcefulness to resurrect the truth that we are conquerors with life in our veins. Thus let us not allow morose news vendors cloud our vision and we shall realise that while we are victims of savage greed; with Divine inspiration on or side we shall triumph. As a civilisation we have always followed the winds of change and if that means traveling to distant lands then so be it. Life is about growth and it does not mean staying in the same place; metaphorically or actual!
One thing is sure; to compete with developing countries the rest of the world may have to be really innovative or drastically reduce the cost of doing business!
