Discounts Under The "Nutrisystem Specials" Umbrella: $50 $100 Off Your Order Or 2 3 Weeks Of Food For Free: I can't think of a time when the company was not offering some type of discount. However, what you're offered changes depending upon the time of the year. Often, these promotions fall into one of two categories you're typically either offered two to three weeks of free food or you can chose to take $50 to $100 of a monthly order. (Since most monthly packages are around $300, this is a significant savings either way. )

And, they also vary depending upon whether you're opting for "auto ship" or rather you're ordering month to month. Auto ship will get you the most monetary coupons. For example, right now, they are offering $100 off your monthly order if you want to opt for automatic monthlyshipments. But, this discount is given over a four month period ($25 for four months.) I guess if there's a "catch," that would be it. However, $100 is $100, no matter whether it's in chunks of $25 or not.

You do have another option with auto ship.You can often chose 2 3 weeks of free food rather than the money off depending on which coupon code or discount link you use. Most people don't believe me when I say that this is the better deal, but it really is. Think about it. If you get four weeks of food for around $300 (before any discounts are subtracted), then that makes two weeks worth of free food worth around $150.

Nutrisystem Discounts That Don't Require A Commitment Or Catch: If you're not sure that you are going to be on this diet for more than a few months, you're often offered lesser discounts without the commitment of automatic shipping. For example, you may be offered $50 off rather than $100. Or, it may just be one week that you get free. But, although the monetary value is less, you don't have to worry about sticking around to get your savings.Perhaps you only have ten or so pounds to lose and one month or so would do it.

No matter which special you decide to use, you must make sure that you enter any applicable discount code (at the top of the order form). Some specials do have a code string and some only use the applicable link.

There are a few other ways that you can save some money on your food. You're asked to add in fresh, healthful sides with each Nutrisystem meal. The diet provides prepackaged foods for most of what you'll be eating, but you do have to add in one serving of dairy, fruits or veggies with each one. You can buy these locally or in bulk to keep these cost down. And, you can try to incorporate what you already buy for your family as sides. I always try not to spend that much extra money on the sides, because if you can keep the total that you spend close to the $200 -$300 order, you're really only spending between $1.75 -$2.25 per meal, which is actually very economical.
