A 21st birthday has more significance depending on where you live because in the
USA it's official you can drink now but even if you have been drinking since you were 18, like in the UK, a 21st is more than this. It is the time you really become an adult, from 18 years old really you're just a young adult, playing at being an adult and prone to making bad decision and still needing to be bailed out and supported, especially by mom and dad. By the time you hit 21 your parents will really stand back and say this is your life so live it well, the decisions you make will be your own and you will start to know the type of person you are.To be honest, it's a little scary and you need to be reminded of the person you are trying to be by the people who have taken care of you - this will really be meaningful and a treasure.
