Nfl Tickets - Early Injuries Nag Teams, Even After Week 2
There have been several shakeups so far in the regular season of the NFL
, even after just two weeks of play. Many hotshots across the league have been seen sitting the sidelines in what seems to be an epidemic of injuries plaguing the NFL so far this season, and here are some of the teams that are certainly hurting going into Week 3, as some of their star players are currently nursing injuries.New England Patriots: It sure is nice to have Tom Brady back, but it was a bummer in Week 2 when Wes Welker was a no-show, injuring his knee in Week 1. The other obvious hole the Patriots have right now is Jerod Mayo, the tough linebacker who's been out all season with a sprained MCL in his right knee.
Philadelphia Eagles: It's a good thing the Eagles are so greatly stocked as quarterback, because for many other teams in the league a quarterback's exit could have been a devastating issue. Not so for the Eagles, however, as fans with NFL tickets have noticed. Even though starting QB Donovan McNabb is out with a broken rib, his backup Kevin Kolb is handling himself just fine as a replacement. Michael Vick is also activated in Week 3, signifying that the Eagles will hold their own while McNabb recuperates.
San Diego Chargers: It had to be tough for LaDainian Tomlinson to sit on the sidelines and watch his team get demolished by the Baltimore Ravens in Week 2 of the regular season, but LT's sprained ankle seems to be healing as planned. While his status for Week 3 is still iffy, another Charger will most certainly be out in Week 3 - Nick Hardwick. The center flew home to Indianapolis to have surgery on torn ligaments in his left ankle prior to the Chargers-Miami game, but he'll likely miss six to eight weeks of playtime.
Carolina Panthers: Just weeks after signing defensive tackle Louis Leonard to take the place of Maake Kemoeatu, who ruptured his Achilles tendon in training camp, Leonard was placed on the IR after the Panthers' Week 2 game against the Falcons. Carolina scrambled to sign Antwon Burton in Leonard's place, but the Panthers also are seeing problems with Nick Hayden, who's been out with a toe injury.
Indianapolis Colts: With Bob Sanders still out with a knee injury, the Indianapolis Colts' defense has its work cut out for it. Gary Brackett also suffered a knee injury in Week 2 against the Dolphins, and receiver Anthony Gonzalez is considered a no-go for most of the season, as the Colts recently signed Hank Baskett to add depth to the receiving end. Kelvin Hayden is also questionable for Week 3.
Seattle Seahawks: Matt Hasselbeck has been sitting out of practice all week as he recovers from a broken rib suffered in Week 2 in the game against San Francisco. Middle linebacker Lofa Tatupu has been out since Week 1 after suffering a hamstring sprain, and tackle Sean Locklear, cornerback Josh Wilson and Leroy Hill have also been ruled out of play for Week 3.
Despite these injuries around the league the show must go on, and fans looking to cheer on their favorite teams (injuries or not) can get tickets to games this season from .
