Falcade, in the Valle del Biois, is a small but famous village, which attracts Italian and foreign tourists in winter as well as in summer, and it is famous above all for the wonderful place where it rises. The Valle del Biois, indeed, is considered as one of the most beautiful valleys in the Dolomites: set among Marmolada, Monte Civetta and the Pala group, in other words some of the most famous and fascinating mountains of Italy, the valley is a feast for the eyes and a landmark for all those who have a passion for mountains and climbing, who start from here to explore the surrounding mountains. Moreover, in Falcade you can enjoy one of the best views on the Dolomites: no wonder that many tourists choose this little mountain village to spend their holidays.
In winter Falcade is the ideal destination to enjoy a skiing holiday: those who love alpine skiing can ski in a wonderful setting and have fun thanks to the equipped areas, to the modern ski-lift facilities and the ski slopes that are always perfectly well-kept and covered with snow, while if you prefer cross-country ski there are miles of trails among the woods and other spaces of the village. No matter if you are expert or beginner skiers, in Falcade you can find the trail that best suits your needs, and if you want to improve or you wish to initiate your children to skiing you can address to ski schools, which offer different kinds of courses, for children and adults, group or private lessons. Besides skiing you can choose other winter sports, like snowboarding and ice skating, but Falcade is perfect even if you cannot go beyond sledges and bobs, or if you simply would like to spend a carefree weekend walking on snow or organising a snowball fight with your friends. Last but not least, the village is appreciated not only by sportspeople, but also by those who only expect one thing from a holiday: relaxation.
