Bournemouth Welcomes Winter Swells
Winter can be one of the best times to surf in the UK
, with heavy winds creating steady swells. And with Europes first artificial surf reef opening last year, Bournemouth is the perfect place to slap on a wetsuit and hit the winter swells.The artificial reef has been designed for competent surfers to improve height of waves and the length of ride offered by each wave. The artificial reef should provide more suitable surfing days and a more consistent break. Though the artificial reef is not suitable for beginners, the natural waves breaking closer to shore offer the perfect learning environment. Also, a variety of surf schools are on-hand to get you coasting the waves in no time.
