How To Land A Cruise Ship Job In Days
Share: Many job seekers put a lot of hard work and commitment into getting a cruise ship job
. And when they succeed the pay-off is usually worth the effort. But occasionally other people seem to come along and just land a position pretty much straight away. For them their very first application just happens to hit the right person at the right time and they get hired.
I knew a person who applied for a cruise ship job and heard back from the company within just four days. He got an interview the following day, and was offered the job the day after that. But what's really amazing is that he then started working on the ship itself the very next day! It had only been 7 days from sending the first application out to actually stepping on board the ship as a new hire.
This probably seems like it's almost far too fast for someone looking for a cruise ship job. You may spend lots of time thinking about the prospect of getting a job on a cruise ship, but when it finally comes to it you may be a bit scared if you were offered the chance to start a job the next day.
Many people will also think that it can't be done, that it will always take a lot longer to find a job. But these things can and do happen and actually they are not that rare. But these things don't just happen randomly. There are several things you can do to greatly improve the odds of getting a cruise ship job within a matter of days.
Share: The first is to ensure that you put the groundwork in. You may get a job really quickly from one company, but you have to send out the application forms and beat the competition. It's no use just sitting there and dreaming. It's your job to go out there and make it happen.
You should also be enthusiastic about the prospect of working on a cruise ship. Employers love enthusiasm, and they will want to make your dream a reality. Even if you only have a telephone interview, you can come across as very dull if you don't put in the effort, and this could hurt your job prospects.
Probably the most important thing to do is make sure that you're fully prepared. The chances are that you too may be required to work the next day. Do you want your potential employer to let you go because you're not ready. When it comes to getting a job on a cruise ship, anything can happen, so always be ready for it.
You will of course have the right to ask for a bit more time than just one day, but you don't have to. It could really show your enthusiasm to the company if you start work straight away, and there won't be any chance of you missing out on the experience of a lifetime.
If you're having a hard time getting hired, then follow the above guidelines and you never know what could happen. Keep going, persevere, and this time next week you too could be working on a cruise ship.
