It makes you feel good about yourself It makes you more confident It makes you look better You are less likely to suffer heart problems You are less likely to have type two diabetes You will have better stamina It will make your heart stronger and healthier Its a great way of finding friends and meeting people.

How often should I train?

Muscle Building

Beginners 1-3 times a week

Intermediate-3-4 times a week

Advanced- 4-6 times a week

this completely depends on your experience in the gym and how important you want training to be in your life. If you have been training for years then your muscles will be able to adapt to the stress of regular training. If you have been training for over a year then your body will be able to adapt to five training sessions a week. If your new to the gym and your purely muscle building then I advice you go a maximum of 3 times a week for the first 6 months to help your body and muscles get used to the stress being put on them by weight lifting.

General Fitness (Cardiovascular)

If your training to improve your stamina or to lose weight and you just want to do cardio work then I advise you go a maximum of five times a week. It's important to note that everybody's body is different and has a different response to exercise. Some people will wake up the next day after a running session with aches and pains in their body from lactic acid. If you feel like this then it's important you listen to your body, rest and do some light stretching.

If I have Asthma or diabetes can I still train?

yes of course, nothing should stop you from training. However, it is advisable that you speak to your doctor if you haven't trained before for some specialist help. With asthma my main advice is make sure that before you are training you have your inhaler on you and if you don't then do not train under any circumstances. If you have type 1 diabetes then training is going to affect your blood sugar levels. My advice would be to have a personal trainer who is aware and understands your condition and can make your your blood sugar levels do not drop too low while you are training. Your trainer will likely recommend that you bring with you your insulin injection or a high sugar product. Please do not go straight into training if you have this condition without seeking medical and professional help

Should I train differently if I want to train for sport?

My advice is the best time to have them is when u feel your training is dipping and that you are running out of energy. They can be useful in providing quick energy bursts to keep you training well. It's also a good idea to take one directly after training and could speed up repair time of muscles.
