As per the auto sources, the auto major Toyota will be launching its Toyota Etios hatchback in the country,South Africa by the year 2012. As per these sources, the new Etios will be competing with few low priced hatchbacks. Such hatchbacks will include Chevrolet Spark Lite or Chevrolet Spark in India, the Hyundai i10, VW Polo Vivo, Renault Sandero. In the Indian auto market, Toyota is targeting for the market share of Maruti Swift. This fight is going to be very strong and fierce as the next-gen Swift is ready to be launched in the coming year. Toyota has not yet revealed the price of the new Toyota Etios but few predictions of a sub five-lakh rupee price have surfaced in the past. The new Toyota Etios hatchback will be less than 4 meters in length and will have a 1.2-liter petrol engine. In the development of this low cost product of Toyota- Toyota Etios, over two thousand engineers have participated. After India,South Africa will be the first country to receive the Toyota Etios model, added the sources. Subsequently, the new Etios will also reach Brazil and China.
