The City Palace: A perfect example of the combination of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture, the City Palace is a famous attraction of the city. It is a seven-storied structure consisting of wonderful palaces, courtyards, museums, temples and gardens.

Jantar Mantar: Now recognized as a World Heritage Site, Jantar Mantar is an astronomical observatory built in stone by Sawai Jai Singh II in 1716. During that time it was used to measure time, altitude, movements of stars and planets and other astronomical events with naked eyes. The monument consists of 20 main fixed instruments. It is truly an architectural wonder of India.

Amber Fort: It is one of the stunning forts of Rajasthan which still holds its old-world charm. Set in the rustic surroundings on a hill, the fort is stunning from inside. Its history dates back to the year 1592. The fort is accessible by a drive or you can also reach it on an elephant's back, enjoying a royal ride. Each apartment of the fort has its own unique charm. Mirror work and carvings are the striking attractions of the fort.

Nahargarh Fort: Built in the year 1734 by Maharaja Sawai Ram Singh II, the fort was especially built for his nine queens. It offers breathtaking views of the surroundings. There are several apartments in the fort which are interconnected with wonderful corridors.

Elephant Festival: It is one of the most celebrated festivals of Jaipur which is celebrated with great fervor. Coinciding with the festival of Holi, this festival falls in the month of March/ April. Elephants and cultural activities related to elephants are the main draws of the event. Elephant procession, games, race and competition are the striking attractions of the festival. In the end Holi (the festival of colors) is played on elephant's back which is such a unique experience.

Shopping: The visit to Jaipur is incomplete without indulging in the shopping spree at its colorful bazaars. Embroidered juttis, tie and dye fabric, leather articles, blue pottery, paintings, puppets and semi-precious and precious stones are the famous handicrafts of the city.
