The summer is upon us yet again, and it is a summer that began with so much promise for us Brits

. We were looking forward to the Olympics coming to London and to England fighting for the nation during the European championships in Poland and Ukraine.

Now after a good (but not good enough) effort from the England eleven all we have to look forward is an unbearably cramped London in a summer that is fast becoming the wettest on record, yet again.

So, the obvious answer is to leave it all behind and head for warmer climates, like only us Brits no how. To give you a helping hand, here are our top three destinations for this summer:

1.Mexico Dont let the small chance that you may bump into the cast of Geordie shore put you off. Mexico is a country that can cater for all needs, and which leaves lasting memories with all that are lucky enough to visit it. It is home to some of the most stunning beaches on the planet with a surf record to match. You can enjoy the unbelievable nightlife and take in the national dances, all while enjoying the cuisine that is enjoyed the world over. Whether its Cancun, Guadalajara or Acapulco you cant wrong with a trip to what is a breath-taking country at the heart of Central America.

2. Brazil Staying in the same part of the world we are heading to another country that is known for its festival vibes and unbelievable beach side towns. The amount of spectacles and cultural intrigues that this country has to offer is impossible to sum up or truly appreciate until you have actually visited. Cities like Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo and astonishing natural wonders like Sugar Loaf Mountain and Iguau falls are augmented by the worlds best football, the vicious beauty of capoeira and the sound of the samba band. It is a substantial distance to travel and at some cost, but from the second you arrive you will know you have come to the right place.

3.Poland After the countries headline roles for better and for worse during the European football championships some people may be wary of travelling to this part of Eastern Europe. However, the British population are slowly but surely realising that Poland is a beautiful country with some truly picturesque landscapes and a fascinating history that is evident wherever you go during your visit.
