Visit Britains Finest Attractions With Last Minute Holidays In 2012

It may be hard to believe but at some point during 2012 Britain is going to see some good weather

. At the moment the majority of the local news is dominated by stories of flash floods and houses being damaged by water levels that show no really sign of letting up. However, the history books state that occasionally we do see the sun, and when we do it is vital that we are ready to seize the opportunity the best we can.

In this spirit we have decided to compile for you the top five outdoor attractions to visit in the UK in an effort so that even if we do only get five days of sunshine this year at least you can say that you have made the most of them.

1.Stonehenge - Arguably the most famous landmark in the UK, Stonehenge has been a location of religious pilgrimage for hundreds of years. Unfortunately it is too late now to be involved in the summer solstice party, however just to witness this unbelievable sight in real life is well worth the journey down south.

2.Eden Project - Whilst not strictly being outside, this is without a doubt Britain's biggest green house. It could be that you visit the venue for one of its musical shows that it presents throughout the year or to simply visit the two different ecosystems that it has to offer. Either way it is a fantastic day out for adults and children alike.

3.The Minnark theatre - Situated down in deepest darkest Cornwall this is truly the most astonishing site in British theatre. Built into the cliff face overlooking the sea, you will enjoy your time here whether you like theatre or not.

4.The Lake District - This could be considered a rather large area to be described as one place to visit. However, it is arguable the most beautiful area of the country and as it is so difficult to choose between the numerous picturesque towns and areas to visit it seems foolish to overlook it for our list. If the sun is out there is no better place to be than on a walk in the Lake District.

5.A classic British seaside town - Heading to the seaside is a British tradition and it one that must carry on far into the future. Every family has their own opinion on which is the best resort which is why I have left it to you to decide where to go. All I can say is make sure you do it if you want to feel like you have had a proper British holiday.
