Cheltenham Literature Festival ticket holders can enjoy The Book Show featuring Mariella Frostrup and Sky Arts

. This is a festival revelers opportunity to be part of the UKs leading weekly show dedicated to books, as three festival authors discuss their writing. The Book Show will broadcast weekly from Thursday 14 October at 7pm on Sky Arts 1HD.

This years Cheltenham Literature Festival is also generating interest by introducing Tweet Poetry. Poet A F Harrold is generating interest by posting tweets each week that will add to a finished final poem. The public are asked to contribute suggestions that will inspire the latest installment of his poem. The Cheltenham Literature Festival is making its literary delights accessible to all. Following on from last years pilot project, and with funding from the Summerfield Charitable Trust, organisers are delighted to be working again this year with Gloucestershire Deaf Association. Literature events in Cheltenham will offer signing at some of the 2010 Festival showcases. A British Sign Language interpreter will be on stage and we have allocated the most appropriate seats for members of the audience who would like to benefit from this service.

As well as lots of inspiring authors, beautiful verse, cutting-edge debate, and creative ideas, there are many comedy events at the Cheltenham Literature Festival that will get you laughing!The Times Cheltenham Literature Festival 2010


Continuing the strong tradition of comedy in Cheltenham, this year the Literature Festival once again brings together some of Britains best for the lighter side of the Festival. October events include big names such as Simon Pegg, Armstrong and Miller, Phill Jupitus, Jo Brand, Armando Iannucci, Jenny clair, Dom Joly, and Dawn French all of which will be headlining the big events in Cheltenham.

On the final day of the Cheltenham Literature Festival, TV funnyman Harry Hill, will be giving Cheltenham Town Hall audiences a look at his burlesque autobiography, Livin the Dreem, which is described as a combination of Samuel Pepys and Katie Price.

Gloucestershires own Simon Pegg will be proving a sell-out finale to the Cheltenham Literature Festival at the Town Hall on the Sunday, where he will be discussing his autobiography Nerd Do Well.
