Summer Is Time For Landscaping
For the past four or five years we have been wanting to add a patio and to gravel our side yard so that we have a place for our trailer
. We keep procrastinating these projects knowing that they will take a lot of time, a lot of work, and a lot of money to complete.We love to barbecue and entertain in the back yard during the summer. I love to garden and the yard is always full of color from mid spring until fall. I take great pride in my vegetables and love to share them with neighbors, friends, and family when they come over. The flowers flow from pots, planters, and flower beds. It has been a 20-year project to get the yard to this level, but now is the time to finish the projects we keep putting off.

I want a water feature added, I dream of having a waterfall with a little pond someday, but for now I am opting for a little fountain with flowing water. The problem was that we didn't have electricity across our new patio that we finally stopped procrastinating and had it installed. It is beautiful and now our ping pong table has a home-then we needed lights to play at night. We had to hire an electrician to install lights and plugs for our fountain and lamps. There is always something to do and spend money on in the yard.
I view the yard as just more rooms, more living space to the home, so it needs the same care, design and decor as the house.

After the electricians finished the electrical lines we had lights and fountain, project two: done.
Last week we started digging out the lawn on the side yard for the gravel pad. We toyed with the idea of having more cement laid, but for now, gravel will have to suffice, project three: underway.
It is amazing how long we can put off a project and how much we enjoy it once it is complete and we wonder why we didn't do it a long time ago. Each project we have completed through the years has been the same. We put it off forever, finally getting it done and enjoying it so much we wonder why we didn't call a Raleigh, NC landscaper sooner and begin enjoying our outdoor living even more.
