Parenting Young Children Can Be An Arduous Thing If You Are Not Capable For Anything And Everything!
If you are parenting young children, you are no doubt, faced with at least a few moments every day despite the fact you feel a bit affected. Read along to discover this authors adventures.
I just the other day became fifty, so I am not presently, nor do I comprise any arrangements whatsoever for, parenting young children. Even though it has been 15 years since I have been in this state, I commemorate it all like it was yesterday. So please permit me to give out some thoughts.
I remember the night we drove my first daughter home from the hospital. It was barely snowing out, and though I was a very adept driver, I recall feeling as though it were the first time I had ever driven a car. When we got home, and the time went by, I recall having this same thoughts over and over again. There were many routine things that I did in a day that just wasn't the same anymore.
in retrospect, I know what what that meant. It's the combination of worry, and the total fragility of a brand new baby that just changes a person. You find yourself in fear about the smallest things until you've decided that you are the world's most paranoid parent.
When our next daughter was brought into the world, everything was surely different. Sure we worried about the actual birth, and the entire pregnancy, but when she was born, we just felt like things would work out fine.
One of the things I haven't mentioned about parenting young children, is what transpires once they aren't so dependent on mom and dad for so much. Chances are, when you have a second kid, if you are so lucky, the first child is able to walk about the house and get into all sorts of mischief. This, as I recall, is when the party begins.
One of the things I've discovered in my life is that, time doesn't slow down. Matter of fact, it appears to go by at an ever-increasing rate. My wife and I both worked busy jobs, so, we blinked our eyes and, the second child was done with diapers. Now we were parenting 2 young children, and they were both quite active.
Practically overnight we were back to thinking like we had no idea what was going on. There's so much that happens in a day, particularly if you have small children running all around the house. There are so many small decisions that are made along the way, and much of the time you don't realize the long-term consequences to them.
I absolutely was not a pushover as a father, but I also didn't want to yell at my children if what they did didn't appear to be too great. There are definitely things that I know now I would do a different way. However, one thing I can say with great pride is that I cared so much about my children, and I most always tried to do the best i could, as did my partner.
If we flash forward fifteen years, my kids have turned out wonderfully, and I am very ecstatic for that.
