Nfl Tickets - Most Underrated Nfl Teams After Week 1

The 2010-11 NFL regular season is well underway

, and Week 1 provided plenty of excitement as preseason rankings and expectations were turned upside down with several big upsets. Teams like the New York Jets, San Diego Chargers and Indianapolis Colts failed to come through with Week 1 wins, leaving some underdogs ahead and sure to shake up the power rankings going into the early weeks of the season. Here are some of the most underrated teams in the NFL after Week 1, based off preseason predictions.

New England Patriots. Whoever said the days of the Patriots' dominance was over? Tom Brady and Co. had a relatively quiet offseason compared to division rivals the New York Jets, and all those football analysts who ranked Gang Green above the Pats in the AFC East can now take it back. The Patriots looked like a Super Bowl-caliber team in their 2010 season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals, and Wes Welker and Randy Moss put Batman and Robin (aka Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens) to shame in the Week 1 matchup. The Pats' message to the NFL: don't sleep on the blue and red.

Houston Texans. The Houston Texans were hyped up in the weeks before their season opener against the Indianapolis Colts, but after playing their Week 1 game Matt Schaub and his Texans look like they're the real deal. Contributing greatly to their excellence is running back Arian Foster, who racked up a franchise-record 231 rushing yards and three touchdowns in the Texans' 34-24 win over the Colts in Week 1. The Texans have never looked as great as they do now going into the regular season, and they could even legitimately compete with the Colts for the AFC South title this year.

Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks haven't necessarily been a team that sells tons of NFL tickets over the last few years, but perhaps the winds of change have shifted with the addition of new head coach Pete Carroll. The 'Hawks enjoyed a 31-6 stomping over the San Francisco 49ers in their Week 1 matchup, and it looks like (early on, at least) Carroll really has turned around this Seattle team. Seattle's defense held Frank Gore to 17 carries and 38 yards, which is an astonishing number in itself. Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck also had an incredible day, throwing two touchdowns and also contributing a 1-yard touchdown run, as well. Are the Seahawks this good or are the 49ers just that bad? That's a question that will be answered in the forthcoming weeks.

Detroit Lions. The Lions are still not playoff material this year, but this transitioning team won't be the worst in the league. Matthew Stafford, Jahvid Best and Calvin Johnson make the Lions' offense a decent one, and the duo of Ndamukong Suh and Kyle Vanden Bosch helps Detroit's defense immensely. The problem with Detroit is their secondary, but comparing this team to last year's Lions squad it looks like they're moving in the right direction. Detroit's Week 1 near-win over the Chicago Bears signified that perhaps the Lions aren't as bad as they were originally projected to be, but Stafford's shoulder injury is cause for concern going forward.
