Nfl Tickets - Most Overrated Nfl Teams After Week 1

With the NFL's regular season in full swing

, power rankings are already starting to fluctuate after Week 1 play. Teams like the Minnesota Vikings, Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys lost big games to Week 1 competitors while others like Seattle Seahawks, Chicago Bears and Washington Redskins pulled out exciting wins, wreaking havoc already on initial 2010-11 power rankings. Here are the most overrated teams in the NFL after Week 1 of the regular season, based off preseason predictions.

New York Jets. For all that ruckus Rex Ryan raised this offseason, his team's offense just couldn't produce during the Jets' season opener against the Baltimore Ravens in the first "Monday Night Football" game of the year. Ray Lewis and the Ravens' D put a hurting on Mark Sanchez and the Jets during Week 1, and the Jets quickly lost their clout on the football circuit after a 10-9 defeat on Sept. 13. The Jets' measly offense racked up only 176 yards during their season opener against Baltimore, going 1 of 11 on third downs and crumbling under pressure. Mark Sanchez was 10 of 21 for just 74 yards, marking a huge defeat for Gang Green.

San Diego Chargers. Even despite the absences of players like LaDainian Tomlinson, Antonio Cromartie, Marcus McNeill and Vincent Jackson this year, the Chargers were still ranked in the top echelon of teams going into the regular season. Not so after their Week 1 stumble against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs-Chargers game was played completely in the rain at Arrowhead Stadium, making for sloppy circumstances, but that's no excuse for how the Bolts played in their 21-14 loss. San Diego's offense was flat during the fourth quarter of the game, and time expired as Philip Rivers missed on four consecutive plays, ending the game in a Kansas City win. After the game, Norv Turner expressed disappointment in the Bolts' kick coverage teams, and they have a lot more than that to work on if they want to be a division leader again this season.

Minnesota Vikings. Brett Favre clearly looked fatigued as he left the field during the Vikings' Week 1 matchup against the New Orleans Saints, and this might be cause for concern for the Vikes. Favre had a career year last season with the Vikings, and he's certainly not looking quite as strong this year. Still coming off an ankle injury, Favre is also missing his lead receiver, Sidney Rice, and the Vikings looked like simply a mediocre team in their season opener. Considering this was a team that almost made it to the Super Bowl last year and has great hopes for this year, Minnesota just didn't look up to par with expectations in Week 1. Are the Vikings simply an overrated team this year? That's certainly a topic up for discussion if they look this poor during Week 2.

Indianapolis Colts. For a team so refusing to succumb to the Super Bowl Hangover, the Colts absolutely flopped in their game against division rivals the Houston Texans in Week 1 of the regular season. Peyton Manning, a lead seller of NFL tickets, was about the only Indy player on top of his game during the matchup, and especially frustrating were the numbers of dropped passes from receivers Pierre Garcon and Reggie Wayne. Bob Sanders' elbow injury was just salt in the wound and a disappointing revelation for the Colts, who have all but stopped relying on Sanders' health to hold up during the regular season. This was not at all a Super Bowl-caliber team in Week 1, but Manning and Co. have been known to turn around from a loss and bang out wins. Let's hope for their sake this happens starting in Week 2 against the Giants.

Dallas Cowboys. Maybe - just maybe - if Dallas' last touchdown had counted in their Week 1 game against the Redskins we wouldn't count the 'Boys as an overrated team just yet. But Alex Barron's holding call - Dallas' 12th penalty of the game - overturned a last-second Cowboys touchdown and instead nailed down a 13-7 Washington win. Such was the sentiment of the day, however, as Dallas once again self-destructed when it came down to the wire. Among the other things wrong with the Cowboys during their Week 1 matchup, the Cowboys also saw a botched 34-yard field goal by kicker David Buehler. Dallas has to get these mistakes under control if they want to be considered a top-tier team this season.
