National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month to support the Michelle Obama initiative: "Let's Move."

By Presidential Proclamation, the month of September is National Childhood Obesity

Awareness Month and supports the First Lady Michelle Obama initiative, "Let's Move."

What are some of the primary causes that often are the foundation for obesity, addiction and eating disorders?

How does someone who is overweight or obese get help, stop eating obsessively and really lose the weight?

What are the best ways to prevent these afflictions from happening, since they are so difficult to correct?National Childhood Obesity Awareness Month to support the Michelle Obama initiative: "Let's Move."

So much government funding, healthcare dollars, and other monies are poured into solving these crises, yet we seem to be making no progress. What can be done?

What can parents, friends and family do to help their children get support and sustained recovery?

How does "stress" play a role in driving obesity and eating disorders?

How does one overcome food addiction and "emotional" eating?

What should one do when hit with an "emotional" craving for food that the body does not need?

What can we do to nurture ourselves, physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually?

For the past thirty-seven years, C.J. Good has been helping hundreds of men and women obtain a daily reprieve from excessive overeating, overindulgence and over consumption. C.J. Good participates in support groups all over the country. She has a distinctive understanding of the problems, repercussions and ramifications of their afflictions and is dedicated to providing assistance to those who still suffer. C.J. Good became something of a hero for these men and women; but her journey to that place wasn't easy. In her early years, despite Good's career success in the investment management industry, she was a self-described "excessive overeater" and "over indulger." When she finally got a reprieve from the food cravings, she began to get many questions from people with similar life challenges; she decided to share her private affirmations in "Little Gifts of Sustainable Contentment."

In "Little Gifts of Sustainable Contentment," the author shows readers how she found freedom from overeating and overindulgence by reciting and focusing on daily affirmations. She tells how finding sustainable contentment (not a fleeting contentment) is possible at any time if you're willing to change yourself -- mentally, spiritually, and physically -- to become a magnet for happiness. C.J. Good uses a series of daily passages that have to be felt in every crevice of your consciousness to create the outcome you desire.

When the author read and contemplated one daily message every morning she noticed how it transformed her day. She discovered that these simple concepts and suggestions could be enough for her eating disorder to subside and discloses just how wonderful life without food obsession can be. Messages that flow with beneficial wisdom tend to reduce stress and emotional upheaval; she became less and less interested in food. The passages connected to her on a deep level and revealed what her soul needed to hear; they helped her transform in all areas of her life.

We are all on our own private odysseys but these thoughts of inspiration will touch the hearts and souls of many people. The book examines our attitudes, behaviors, and beliefs -- specifically ones that have blocked us from reaching our full potential.

The method utilizes complicated ideals and brings them down to a simple plane, so that anyone who struggles with an eating disorder can pick it up and identify with the principles. The book serves as a compassionate confidant for those experiencing any form of adversity or challenge in life; who need a delicate and quiet 'nudge' in the right direction. It is suggestive that in difficult times -- losing a job, being stricken with illnesses, relationship struggles, personal challenges -- we can overcome and handle that change and move on into healing, recovery and more desirable experiences. This approach encourages readers to ultimately break free of negative behavior patterns and beliefs; so that they may venture into new ways of being that embrace their inner spirit.

This book is a practical companion and a blueprint for living the contented life. The affirmations are designed to help clear out deeply ingrained, self-limiting ideas from the past to make space for contentment to unfold. With helpful chapters on emotional, financial, intellectual, social, spiritual, occupational and physical contentment, Little Gifts of Sustainable Contentment is inspiring and will gently change the mindset of someone who wrestles with food obsession. Human yearnings are sweeping and widespread; this book will add priceless facets to anyone's personal journey.

The book is available for purchase at the author's website: http://www.sustainablecontentment.com and at fine online booksellers.
