Shirdi is in Ahmednagar district in the state of Maharashtra

. It is located at 185 km east of the Western seashore line. Best known as the Land of Sai, this pilgrimage centre is the home of Guru Shirdi Saibaba, the great saint of twentieth century. Shirdi has large turnout of devotees every day from all parts of the country coming for darshan of saibaba Samadhi, and the number of devotees reaches to about half a million on holidays.

Hyderabad is the capital city of the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is also the largest city of Andhra Pradesh and presently it is the fourth most populous city in India. Hyderabad is a historical old city which had gone through many dynasty rules of Qutb Shahi and Asif Jahi for over two centuries under Mughal emperor Aurangazeb and Nizams of Hyderabad. The city boasts of a unique culture in art, architecture and cuisine. It has many places of interest like Charminar, Golconda fort, Salar jung, Husain sagar lake and Birla mandir, to name a few. Of late Hyderabad has also emerged as a global hub for Information Technology. It is home to Telugu film industry and a major tourist destination.

Hyderabad is located at a distance of about 600 km from Shirdi through State Highway 10 and NH9. However, the best way to reach Hyderabad from Shirdi is by train. Though there is a railway station in Shirdi (Shirdi Sainagar) on the Manmad-Daund section of Central railway, nearest major railway stations are Kopargaon and Manmad (15 km and 45 km from Shirdi respectively), from where a number of express trains depart to Hyderabad daily. Trains arrive at two stations in Hyderabad, namely Kacheguda and Secundarabad. The journey takes around 12 hrs and the major stations pass through are Manmad, Aurangabad, Parbhani Road, and Latur Road.

The major towns that one passes through while traveling from Shirdi to Hyderabad by road is: Shirdi - 85 km => Ahmednagar - 188 km => Osmanabad - 22 km => Tuljapur - 52 km => Solapur - 245 km => Sangareddi - 58 km => Hyderabad. There is direct bus service from Shirdi to Hyderabad and a non A/C Sleeper bus will charge around Rs 800. Besides, one can also hire taxis which will cost anywhere from Rs 11,000 to Rs 16,000 for a round trip.Modes Of Travel From Shirdi To Hyderabad


There are several petrol bunks (IOC, Shell, HP and Bharat) and eateries en-route Shirdi to Hyderabad at regular and frequent intervals. Also on the way are Global hospital, Sreekrishna childrens hospital, Vasan eye care and many other good hospitals.

There are no direct flights from Shirdi to Hyderabad. You have to travel to Mumbai by road and then board flights to Hyderabad.
