McConaughey Did Great In Lincoln Lawyer Movie
Lionsgate Movies circulated their new drama/thriller movie titled "Lincoln Lawyer" into movie theaters a few days ago. I just checked it out,and thought it was definitely great as it offered twists upon twists,together with good drama and action. It stars: Matthew McConaughey,Ryan Phillippe, Marisa Tomei, Josh Lucas, John Leguizamo, Frances Fisher, Bob Gunton, Laurence Mason, Bryan Cranston,and William H. Macy.
It focused on a guy named Michael Haller who is a lawyer that does much of his business out of his Lincoln Continental car. He commonly helps defend lowly street people for a few grand here and there,but 1 day he gets contacted to assist a wealthy kid named Louis who has been charged for raping and beating a call girl.
Louis denies all the claims against him,and comes up with a rather great different story as to what exactly took place that evening,which needless to say,makes him appear like an innocent victim in the whole thing,declaring the woman hit him over the head,and had her friends tie him up.
Certainly enough, Michael and his trusty investigator Frank locate holes in Louis' tale that absolutely irritate Michael. This also sets off red flags with Louis. Eventually, much more evidence mounted against Louis,so Michael covertly begins to create a case against his very own client Louis. However, Frank mysteriously gets shots as soon as their secret investigation gets underway,but Frank did leave Michael a phone voice message that supplied a clue that could solve the case.
While all this is occurring, Michael still has to defend Louis who he knows is actually guilty of the crime,and also could possibly be responsible for another similar one from a handful of years back that ended in murder. Michael ends up defending Louis quite properly in court,but secretly delivers a massive twists that gets Louis off for the rape crime,but puts him right back in for a much worse crime of murder. They ended off the film with yet another stunning twist that put a bullet in Michael. It was rather wild.
I believed the film was terrific. It played out like a well-orchestrated symphony. It showed extreme court scenes with cross examinations,witnesses,the complete nine yards,and presented just enough information to where you could see where Michael was going with the case,but not so much that it took the enjoyment out of it. I believe the movie was very good,and never ever had a dull moment in it. I gave it a solid A grade.
