Killers Film Review Online
Lionsgate, the makers of Killers, has pledged not to allow anyone to screen or review the film before opening day
. What that means is that this movie sucks so bad that they don"t dare allow anyone to see it.Why can"t Ashton Kucher make a halfway decent movie? Really, why does he seem to pick these roles? He is obviously a very talented entertainment personality, but his choice of movies is puzzling. Just the fact that the film"s maker, Lionsgate, won"t let anyone see the movie beforehand is all you need to know about the quality of this movie.
Even more surprising is why the beautiful and gifted actress Katherine Heigl is attached to this movie. Again, Lionsgate is doing everything to let us know just how bad their movie is. Apparently they feel that this film will be able to withstand only one day of bad reviews.
The plot of the movie is not all that different from Mr and Mrs Smith, which starred Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt. Ashton Kucher plays Spencer Aimes, an international hit man working for the government. He has spent years travelling the world killing America"s enemies in the name of God and Country. Much like James Bond, from which he is obviously patterned, he has been to every exotic location, tasted every exotic food and bedded every exotic woman he could find along the way.
Enter Katherine Heigl as Jen Kornfeldt. She plays a computer expert who has just been dumped by her fianc. After her bad breakup she is sure she will never find love. She decides to accompany her parents on their vacation to the French Rivera, and it is there that she runs into Spencer.
They embark on a whirlwind romance, and by the end of the trip they are deeply in love. Spencer decides that he has finally met the girl of his dreams in Jen and resigns from the government agency. His days of being a government assassin behind him, he marries the beautiful Jen and they begin a life together in domestic bliss.
Jump ahead three years later and the happy couple are still having the time of their lives. Then one day someone moves into a neighboring house. Shortly afterwards the bullets start flying in Spencer"s direction. It turns out that people from his past have been looking for him to even a score. They find him and immediately try to kill him. He narrowly escapes and then tried to explain things to his wife.
You see, he never bothered to tell her that he was a government killer when he met her. Now she"s in danger as the would be killers want to grab her to get to him. He spends the rest of the movie trying to protect his wife, trying to deal with his meddlesome in laws, and trying to keep up normal appearances for family and friends. This at the same time he is trying to keep from getting killed himself.
