Jaipur is a princely city of Rajasthan which is dotted with amazing royal structures. A testimony to the glorious past of Jaipur, Amber Fort is a famous fort of this city. Carved out of red sandstone and marble, the fort appears rugged from outside and stunning from inside. The architecture of the fort reflects the perfect amalgamation of Hindu and Muslim styles of architecture. The walls are adorned with arresting paintings portraying the royalty of the raja-maharajas of the bygone era. The most enchanting feature of the interior decoration is the exquisite carvings on the walls and ceilings of the fort. The intricate mirror work inside the fort, no wonder, leaves the onlookers spell bound. The fort has huge and fortified walls.
The fort complex has a temple called Kali Temple, with silver doors, which has a glorious history. There are two huge silver lions inside the temple which is a big attraction. Maharaja Man Singh used to worship at this temple before going for battles. Diwan-e-Aam is another wonderful structure inside the fort. Built by Mirza Raja Jai Singh, this apartment is beautifully done up. Ganesh Pol and Jai Mandir are the are the other impressive structures of the fort. The facility of an elephant ride is offered to tourists to reach the fort in a royal style.
