Science is an amazing thing and can be utilized for choosing the gender of your baby but at a price, the cost of using a gender selection clinic would cost around $10,00. This makes it way out of reach to most people, so the option is to look at natural gender selection methods.
The good news is that there are many of these natural techniques for gender determination, here is a list of the most common.
Intercourse timing.
If you have intercourse between 2 and 10 days before prior to ovulation then you are more likely to conceive a girl. On the other hand the day before ovulating will produce a boy, that's the teory anyway.
Shettles method.
This gender selection method is almost 30 years old and has many followers who swear by it, research has shown a success rate of up to 80%. This is again based on the above technique but delves a lot deeper into it. For example it follows the ovulation tips but also throws in depth of penetration amongst other things.
Foods that you eat.
This one is interesting, the claim is that certain diets can affect the sex of your baby. An acid diet will destroy the weaker male sperms and allow the female ones to make it through to fertilize the egg and vice versa. I say it's interesting because by using this my wife had our daughter and she is convinced it was the diet that did the trick.
In conclusion I do not think that any gender selection methods work 100% but then again neither do the clinics. I do however think that you can swing the law of averages to your favour and heavily influence the sex of your baby naturally.
