Protein is the main component to form human tissue. The tissue's repairing and updating constantly need the replenishing of protein. Lean meat, poultry meat, animal offal, fish, shrimp, milk, and eggs etc are all rich in protein, and beans are rich in vegetable protein.

Vitamin A. In the absence of vitamin A, the ability for our eyes to feel the weak light would be reduced. And our ability to adapt to the dark environment will decrease, and in severe, we would be susceptible to night blindness. In addition, the lack of vitamin A would lead to the dryness of eye conjunctiva, a little tear and even can make people blind that caused by corneal perforation. That is what we called xerophthalmia. The best resources of vitamin A is a variety of animal liver, cod liver oil, milk, eggs, and some vegetables and fruits, such as, carrots, spinach, leeks, green peppers, cabbage, shepherd's purse, kelp, seaweed, orange, tangerine, melon, mango and so on.

Vitamin C. It is one of the components to form the eye lens, and the lack of vitamin C will easily lead to cloudy cataract. Therefore, we should get enough intakes in our daily diet. And the foods that are rich in vitamin C are, fresh dates, vegetables, cabbage, cauliflower, green peppers, bitter melon, rape, tomatoes, bean sprouts, potatoes, carrots, citrus, orange, strawberry, hawthorn , apples and so on.

Besides, enough calcium is also good for eyes; it can eliminate the tension of eye muscles. The foods which are in calcium are beans, soy products, dairy, fish, shrimp, seaweed, squid and other aquatic products. And dried fruits such as, peanuts, walnut, lotus seeds and some green leafy vegetables are also high in calcium.

All these foods mentioned above can help your children have a pair of bright eyes.
