Escape to the Country This Summer
The Summer holidays offer us so much to do in terms of holidays, getting away from it all and relaxation. There are foreign holidays to destinations that are hot, exotic, busy and exhilarating, there are day and weekend spa trips with friends and there are holidays from home, which focus on holidaying somewhere else in the country. Many people like the home comforts and simple pleasures in life, and so a holiday may mean staying in a boutique hotel in one of the most fashionable cities on the planet, but for others, it could mean taking the time to explore the great British outdoors, or taking up a new pastime or hobby. So try getting out of the city, and visiting the country, it could just be a welcome break from the norm.
But Why the Country?
The country represents a place where you can escape the daily hubbub, noise and chaos of city life, and visit the beautiful scenery and rolling green fields of the country. It may not seem like it at first, but there is actually a lot of history and culture to discover and enjoy on a holiday in the country, it just needs to be discovered, which won't take very long. For many people, getting out of the city is a life-long dream, but not something that they can do on a permanent basis just yet, so instead of looking into van hire for a permanent relocation, think about booking a short visit or a long weekend, as they are the only way people can spend time in the country if they don't have the money to buy a home there.
Where to Stay
Like the city, there are many different ways and places that you can stay during a country holiday, such as in a B&B, a hotel, a hostel, or even camping. While some campsites do provide caravans for people who are willing to pay extra, taking a campervan can be much more fun, as you don't run the risk of leaving some of your belongings behind in the caravan, and you don't have to put up your tent when you arrive at the camping site. A campervan is also very handy for all weathers, as it is waterproof, it lets the sun is, and is much less exposed to the elements than a tent. If you don't own a campervan, there are companies that specialise in campervan hire, and many have very good rates for weekends or longer holidays.
Be Prepared
The weather during the great British summertime can be very unpredictable as we all know, so remember to pack for a range of weather conditions. Take sunscreen, waterproof clothing, a good pair of walking boots, willies, walking sandals, and especially mosquito repellent, as long summer nights in the country are the perfect opportunity for hungry mosquitos to feed on exposed flesh. Taking a camera will allow you to record your time in the country, and you may get some beautiful pictures of the countryside during your time there.
