Connecting san jose & jaco beach

If you're planning on traveling to Costa Rica for vacation one of the hardest decisions you have to make is where you do want to go? There are so many things to do from volcanoes with hot springs, rich coffee plantations, zip-lining in the rain forest, the beach and of course the night life.

If you're the kind of person that likes to travel as a couple and get away to explore lifestyle experiences, then I recommend a group of romantic hotels strategically placed one in San Jose and the other in Jaco Beach. The Copacabana Desire Hotel and the Hotel Desire are great places to plan your trip around where you can explore the beach and the San Jose areas all at once. You minimize the waste of precious travel time not having to spend more time on the road and checking in and out of hotels as you go. The Desires Hotel Group has two connecting hotels; one in the coffee plantation hills just above San Jose and the other right on the beach in Jaco, or correctly written in Spanish it's playa jac.

The Hotel Desire of Costa Rica is only 15 minutes from the San Jose International airport. From there you can enjoy the beauty of two very close volcanoes; Arenal and its great hot springs, and Poas with its breath taking crater views form its over look. There are coffee plantations are right outside your front door and the La Paz waterfall is nearby.Connecting san jose & jaco beach

The hotel itself is a beautiful spacious mansion that was once owned by a Coca Cola bottling executive from Brazil back in the 60's. Its vast grounds are lush and explorer friendly along with its beautiful view of San Jose, Heredia & Alajuela. At night the vista there lights up like a Christmas tree shimmering from the valley below you. The mansion is nestled on a green hillside in a quaint little neighborhood. It has a nice little watering hole there where you can hang out and get a feel for the neighborhood, or the barrio as they call it in Espaol.

You'll enjoy dropping down into for San Jose for casinos and night life. In the daytime there's lots of culture, parks and museums to see. In the center of town there is an avenue completely blocked off from car traffic making it a great place to walk, shop, check out restaurants and bars, it's very pedestrian friendly. The Avenue Central is bordered by quaint shops and restaurants that spring out of the old historic buildings. There is also the National Theatre of Costa Rica which was built in 1897. And the newly opened National Stadium deemed as, "the jewel of La Sabana," which seats 35,000.

Also Heredia is close by and if you enjoy exploring malls as part of your vacation check out the Paseo de las Flores Mall, where you can shop everything from North Face to Gucci. The mall structure is as impressive as any in the states and also has a state of the art movie theater. The streets there are dotted with familiar restaurant chains we know from North America. The infrastructure of this particular area of Costa Rica has really advanced as they have some very nice modern freeways, making it easy to get around from city to city.

So after a few days of exploring hills and valleys of the San Jose area, you'll be ready to change into your swim suit and head for the beach, playa jac that is. Jaco Beach is Costa Rica's biggest beach town and the closest to San Jose. And now with the new freeway, "Pista del Sol", what used to take hours of traveling is now only an hour away. There are all kinds of tours to book in Jaco from zip-lining, horseback riding on the beach, fishing, boating, Tortuga Island, Manuel Antonio Park and many others.Connecting san jose & jaco beach

At the Copacabana Desire Hotel the beach tucks right under the patio of the Ocean Waves restaurant. It is a three story hotel with suites and hotel rooms overlooking the beach. They even have two swimming pools; one for those of us that enjoy sunning in the nude and another for those of us who are a little more prude. There is an outdoor Jacuzzi and many of the rooms have Jacuzzis built in. Everybody thinks the beach is expensive but the Copacabana Desire Hotel in Jaco Beach is far less expensive than other competing lifestyle adult hotels.

Once you're in Jaco you'll find it has some of the best beach bikinis and surfing in the world! For surfers this beach is considered in the top 5 worldwide. The local scene is a mix of Ticas, Dominicanas and Colombianas and man do these girls look great walking around in the heat of the hot summer sun, which is all year down here.

So make your vacation get away a little easier on yourself and try spending a week at the Desires Hotel Group. It's a great place for couples and lifestyle groups to relax and explore the rich coast of Costa Rica. The food and service there is excellent, and there are lots of nice people to meet. They have their own outdoor beach stage with a number of very talented ex-pat blues and rock bands playing most nights of the week. There is also karaoke and a live Latin music show that closes out each week on Sunday nights. Book a week and get an eighth night free. This coming April 16 will be the first annual Jaco Blues & Bikini Festival held at the outdoor stage of the Copacabana and the of of April 23 through April 30, 2011 they will be celebrating "Tropical Fantasies Week" so be sure to check out the festivities.
