Whenever in Australia, travel visa holders would often be moving out a lot

. However, with the size of the country, the distances in between destinations can be quite large. And the long wait while traveling can be quite a stressful experience to many.

And being that stressed after a long travel is certainly not a good experience. You will end up so worn out from the trip that you will most likely the whole day of your stay rather than enjoy your vacation. Thus, it would be a good idea if you know some ways on how to "survive" such long trips.

Since you will be most likely be coming in to Australia from the skies, then that's the first thing you need to deal. Unless you will be coming in from the nearby islands, you will have to go through at least five hours worth of just sitting in a cramped airplane seat. Here, you will most likely feel a lot of discomfort on your joints just thirty minutes into the flight.

What you can do to do away with this one is to exercise a little. Though the seat will most likely be less than spacious (unless you are going business class), you will still be able to stretch out a little. Also, simply standing up will help loosen up your stiff joints. You can also try walking down the aisle a bit, though you need to be aware that other passengers might be annoyed of you constantly moving around, especially if you are sitting in the window seat.Dealing With A Long Flight To Australia by:Mitch Jones

Back pains will also be a problem if you have to go through with an 18-hour light. Since most airplane seats, including the economy class ones, can recline to at least 33 degrees, this would help you position yourself much better. Also, you can ask the flight attendant for extra cushions for a more comfortable sitting. Wearing proper loose clothing will also help alleviate these problems, as you won't have to struggle with them for the whole duration of the flight.

Hunger will also be a problem that you need to cope with here. A useful tip for this one is to actually eat well even before you board the plane. This one will keep you up until the first meal of the day is served in flight. Alternatively, you can also carry or ask for small snack items from the flight attendant. Also, some airlines usually put up a small snack cart at the back of the plane, so you can head there for some quick nibble.

Simply seating there for such a long time will also likely to get you bored. Here's a tip, never depend too much on the inflight entertainment and magazines. Most likely, they will be pretty stale. Instead, you might want to bring your own entertainment. A portable media player or a handheld games console will be of much use here. Books and magazines will also help you while away your time. Alternatively, this one will also be ideal for catching a good amount of sleep, so make the most out of it.
