Three Places You Must See While Studying in Australia by:Ralph Gray

Studying in Australia has many benefits - the ability to learn from world class educational

institutions, making new friends and enjoying a different way of life, not to mention the fantastic sights you can see. In fact, Australia has some of the most diverse and breathtaking landscapes in the world all waiting to be discovered!

So, what are some of the "must see" destinations around Australia that simply cannot be missed while studying in the land down under?

The Great Ocean Road, Victoria

For a great weekend road trip, this incredible piece of coastline really does take the cake. With winding roads that literally sit on the cliffs edge of the coastline, not only will you be privy to beautiful views of the beach and water, but also some great Australian wildlife. When travelling along the Great Ocean Road, you will come across many small towns with plenty of accommodation ranging from back packers hostels, to self contained units, to 5 star hotels.Three Places You Must See While Studying in Australia by:Ralph Gray

Uluru, Northern Territory

Australia's most well known rock formation is a very important sight to behold, should you wish to see a truly Australian icon. In the last few years, the huge red dirt rock has been closed for climbing on so that it can be preserved for generations to come. The nearest town to Uluru is Alice Springs - a city that offers a tremendous amount of Australian culture and a very relaxed Australian lifestyle.

Sydney, New South Wales

Some of the most well known and easily recognised buildings can be found in Sydney. Officially opened on March 19th, 1932 by Premier Jack Lang, the Sydney Harbour Bridge is one of the main arterials into the Sydney CBD. It is impressive in size and construction - the bridge has 6 million hand driven rivets and uses huge hinges to allow for expansion in the hot Sydney summer. There is a bridge climb open to the public, but it is often recommended that it is only suitable for those who are fit and not afraid of heights!

The other world famous icon that can be seen in this bustling city is the Sydney Opera House. Designed by Danish architect, John Utzon, this incredibly unique building was created to represent a ship in full sail. Even though the building has only officially been open since 1973, it has made a true mark on the world and is now Australia's answer to the Eiffel Tower, Colosseum of Rome or the Statue of Liberty.

There are many great sights to see in Australia - some truly humungous, some very simple and small, but it is almost certain that each experience you have in Australia will definitely take your breath away.
