My Personal Review OnBABYBJRN Baby Carrier Air
Air Bjorn / vs Synergy Classic / Comfort Ergo Active vs. vs. I am a bit compulsive what we have quite a few carriers. For the purposes of this review, I will jump slings, and adhere to company style shoulder bag. Specifically, the line of Bjorn and the Ergo.
Ergo: The most comfortable of the bunch! If you can get some tan, both you and the baby on warm days, both wife and I felt I could use almost always. Unlike most companies backpack, the Ergo has a belt where most of the weight of the baby rests. Those of you who have used a backpack to know exactly how much of this assistance. For those who do, there is a padded band that sits just above your hips. When used correctly most of the baby's weight is distributed across your hips greatly reducing stress / load on the shoulders and back. Unfortunately for us, our little monkey has recently decided that she should face out, and the Ergo only allowed to deal in. So, he sat in the closet unused for several weeks.
Bjorn Air / Classic: smaller, lighter and easier to use. We have the "air" model and the special fabric that actually does the work for you and your baby cool. It is my preferred supplier for fast rides and hot days. But the wife and the babysitter it is used only if they have to. It is by far the least comfortable support we have. The padded shoulder straps are relatively thin to really dig into your shoulders. I find it just a little annoying, but she says she can not use it for more than 5 or 10 minutes before it actually starts to hurt.
Bjorn Synergy / Activity: Basically, the air / Classic, but with wider, padded shoulder straps and lumbar support piece. Although a little more comfortable than air / Classic, is still far from the comfort of the Ergo. While the lumbar support is good, the fundamental problem remains: the whole weight is being placed on the shoulders.
Bjorn Comfort: The last Bjorn, and by far the most comfortable. It has wide straps and padded very well, and as the Ergo, the Comfort has a padded belt! While not as comfortable as the Ergo, approaches. I used to walk several hours without discomfort in the back or shoulders. And unlike the Ergo, the baby's face can enter or exit. A couple of minor complaints. First, it is very bulky. Given the way that its construction, the reality is much bulkier than even the Ergo, so is not the easiest thing to stuff in a bag / under the stroller. Second is that so far can not buy additional bibs. A bib is included, but given how much we use what is good to have a second (see Bjorn bibs sold today are not compatible with the Comfort). Furthermore, although it does not seem as hot as the Ergo, you and the baby will be a lot of sweat on hot days.
All these companies seem very well done, with the exception of the air, I feel will last a long, long time (while so far so good, I have some reservations about the long-term durability of fabric shoulder straps Air). Mostly currently uses the Comfort, but still the bust of air on hot days or for short walks and all in all we are very happy with the status of the wearer. But we still have hope that one day our little deign to-face so we can bust out the new Ergo.
ERGO --- --- Pros: Most comfortable Cons: The baby can only deal in. A little warm on hot days.
--- Bjorn Air/Classic--- Pros: The easiest to get baby in and out of. The air is great for hot days. The smallest and lightest (ideal for packing). Cons: Less comfortable. Some concern about the durability of the fabric of the air.
--- Bjorn Synergy/Active--- Advantages: More comfortable than air / Classic Cons: Still no waist strap!
Bjorn Comfort --- --- Advantages: Comfort (almost as good as the Ergo) Cons: A little warm on hot days. You can not buy the replacement / additional bibs. Most voluminous of the four companies.
