Thailand was seeing rapid growth in 1992. One of the businesses that came on the scene was Spa Resorts on Koh Samui. Spa Resorts has grown from that one small location to four major resorts in Thailand with their newest being just outside Chiang Mai.
This newest Spa Resort is about a half hour drive from Chiang Mai in a beautiful area called Mae Ann. The area is primarily agricultural with rice fields and other crops. The resort is set in a lovely green valley with sweeping views of the nearby mountains.
The resort is on a beautiful sprawling piece of property that was once a mango orchard. There are pool side rooms, and villas for accommodation. The Radiance Restaurant is one of the main features of the resort. They offer vegetarian, vegan, and an extensive raw food menu. Much of the ingredients come from their own organic farm.
There are quite a number of activities available. Yoga classes, meditation training, Pilates and more are done in the really lovely yoga sala. This beautiful structure is open on all sides with beautiful views of the surrounding green valley and distant mountains. There are jogging and exercise trails for those that prefer a solitary workout. There are also many local places of interest to go for day trips.
There is a complete spa on the property which offers Thai and oil massage, body treatments, facials, and other rejuvenating treatments. The spa also has a large Thai herbal steam room that utilizes 32 Thai herbs. Two far infrared saunas and an outdoor shower are available as well.
The Spa Resorts are known for their detox programs. They have 3-21 day programs that include herbal fasts, self performed colon cleansing using a colema system, and specially prepared detox drinks. These can be combined with additional spa treatments that encourage the detox process.
Spa Resort Chiang Mai is a tranquil and beautiful environment to rejuvenate the body and mind or just to go for some deep relaxation.
