Brookside after World War II.

Brookside is located right on the Arkansas River, so the view is beautiful. It offers amazing shopping, like Aberson's, Brookside Blooms, and a variety of boutiques.

The neighborhood itself was planned by Colonel Terwilleger, an American war hero. He wanted to build an upscale but affordable neighborhood in midtown Tulsa. That is exactly what Terwilleger Heights is. Many homes in Terwilleger Heights were built in 1920s and 1930s, creating an old time charm that is unique and gorgeous.
Many Terwilleger Heights homes are built in the English Tudor style. There are also a fair number of large mansions located in this neighborhood.
Woodward Park, the most beautiful and most popular park in Tulsa, lines the western side of Terwilleger Heights. On the eastern side, you can find the Utica Shopping Center, which is a busy center of shopping activity.
