There are many things to do in Cusco Peru. Cusco (also spelled Cuzco) was the center of the Inca Empire from the mid 15th century until it was conquered by the Spanish in 1532. Cusco is the archaeological capital of the Americas and is a city where past and present collide. The area offers a great variety of awe-inspiring experiences.

1) Machu Picchu
This is the main reason why most tourists visit Peru. Machu Picchu was built by the Incas around 1430 AD. It is located high in the Andes Mountains just above the town Aguas Calientes. This ancient city is a UNESCO World Heritage site that showcases the marvelous architectural abilities of the Incas surrounded by spectacular views.
