A example of positive communication is, when your child asks "Can I watch TV now?" If your initial response to allowing your child to watch TV is "No, you can't watch TV right now, try saying, "You can watch right after dinner". Start to establish house rules - For instance, if your house rule is that bedtime should be at 8 pm, simply state the rule. I really love it every time I hear other kids say, "YES YES", then you can tickle your child or even use humor just to see if you actually can get your child to say "YES" and by doing so you will gain more cooperation from your child.

Though, children do not realize that not all parents can actually afford to pay high prices for their children clothes and shoes, I know that your own child won't take that into consideration, he/she wants to be just like the others, and often say that if others have it, why can't they have it too.
