DOG FOOTWEAR! Is it some kind of a joke! This is the reaction of majority of the
people who still are unaware of the fact that their dog feet are equally at risk as there is when they walk bare foot. When we treat our dogs like our own babies then why dont we consider giving them the same comfort that we would give to our own baby? Dog feet are equally sensitive like ours then why do we treat the idea of making our dogs wear shoes as a joke?This is true that dogs do not always needs a pair of shoes to keep their feet safe but yes there are places where it is a necessity for them in the same manner as it for you like rocky places etc. There are various advantages of making your dog wear shoes especially when they go out for a walk in different seasons like
Winters
In case you are living in a city where there is snow fall during winters then you must consider purchasing boots for your dog. These boots will keep their feet warm and make their walk comfortable and enjoyable. Snow and ice damages the paws of your child like dog which hurts them while they walk. It can scrape and cut the paws of the poor dog which will eventually make it very difficult and uneasy for them to walk. Not only this due to these injuries they might also loose their grip and fall on the ice hurting themselves even more. These boots also guard the paws of your dog from the salt that people throw out of their houses and shops in order to de-ice the paths and streets in winters as it can be dangerous for your dogs paws.
Summers
The paws of your dog require footwear in places where summers are extreme in order to help them save their paws from getting burn. If not all the time then at least at places where you would yourself not consider going barefoot as it will burn your feet like; beaches. Your dog will feel equally hot on sand as you would in case you walk barefoot on it. For such purposes there are light boots and even slippers to help them save their paws from hot sand and insects that might bite them on beaches like blue bottles.
Rain
Everyone who has dogs knows very well how much wetness irritates them therefore making them wear booties while they go out for a walk in rain will be a wise decision and will also help your dog to enjoy despite the wet streets. Not only this but it also keeps you home clean as you can take off he/her shoes as soon as they enter the house so that they do not bring the dirt from outside and make your rugs, couches, bed and floor become dirty.
Dont only say that your dog is like your own baby, also treat them like one!
