The attack could also be situational where in a particular situation the person gets the seizure.

Increase in heart beat

Sweating, trembling, muscle tension

Blurred vision, smothering, tunnel vision

Chest pain, nausea, dizziness, cold flushes

Paresthesias, numbness, fear of death

As a first step towards getting rid of this problem, the person should stop taking illicit drugs, caffeine or alcohol as these tend to worsen the problem.

To manage these seizures you can also start doing aerobic exercises, use stress management methods such as yoga & deep breathing.

You need to know that hyperventilation syndrome happens with these seizures and many use the technique of breathing in to paper bags to reduce hyperventilation. The positive results are just because of the placebo effect and not due to any actual positive effect of doing it.

Always try to relax your muscles to stop the seizure. In addition to it, slow down your breathing rate. You can do so by blowing in a manner like when we blow out candles. Putting hand on the stomach will help you know how rapidly you are breathing and help you in controlling your breathing.

You to make yourself that everything is alright and you are able to breathe properly. Try and see it there is someone with whom you can talk, if you do not find it difficult to talk with that person you will be able to breathe also.

Medication could be in the form of beta blockers, antidepressants, inhibitors such as SSRIs and Benzodiazepines. All these medications help in reducing heart beat, trembling, anxiety, stress and also to maintain required serotonin levels in the brain. But you need to always consult a medical practitioner before starting any type of medication as these if used over a long period of time result in harmful side effects.

Different therapies are also available as cure for panic attacks such as behavior therapies and exposure therapies in which patient's reaction level is reduced to any particular situation and the thought process is also studied to habituate the mind to think positively.
