Wwe Tickets - Dave 'the Animal' Batista

Dave Batista has been called "The Animal" since he was a little kid

. His hot temper has gotten him into a lot of trouble over the years. Raised in a tough part of southeast Washington D.C., the WWE superstar described himself as being "a skinny kid with asthma and a bad size complex" who had the desire to get in trouble with the authorities. After his parents separated, Batista lived with his mother in San Francisco until she sent her troubled teen to live with his father in suburban Virginia. By the time he turned 17, Batista was estranged from both parents, living on his own and still getting into trouble. For the next 10 years, the future wrestler lifted weights and trained to be a bodybuilder. At night, he bounced clubs in the D.C. area.

The former bouncer was amazed that one of the clubs he use to work at was just two blocks from Washington D.C.'s MCI Center, where he defended his World Heavyweight Championship against JBL at SummerSlam in 2005. Batista left his night job after he unleashed his explosive temper on two guys who had attacked his fellow bouncers. He stated that when he was finished with them, they were lying on the ground with their eyes rolling in the backs of their heads. The wrestler was afraid they were going to die. Both men survived, but Batista was arrested and received a year's probation. The incident changed his life. He enrolled in Wild Samoan Afa's wrestling school in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Batista admitted that he first saw the WWE simply as "a way to make a living."

However, that changed when he was told at a WCW tryout that he didn't have what it takes to become a wrestler. Batista said that fired him up and the wrestler quickly became obsessed with the squared ring. He completely redirected his training and philosophies and redesigned his body and mental outlook to prepare himself against the superior athletes in the WWE. Batista prevailed in his intense training and made his WWE debut in May 2002. The one-time bodybuilder gave a lot of credit to former Evolution colleagues Triple H and Ric Flair for challenging him and elevating his wrestling skills. In the locker room, Batista proclaimed he's "just a loner, I keep to myself." But once the 6-foot-6, 290 pound wrestler stepped into the ring, he unleashed hell and showed no mercy towards his competitors. There was no doubt that Batista had become one of the best athletes in the sports entertainment industry. He graced the covers of muscle magazines like FLEX, and even made a guest appearance on the CW network series Smallville. WWE fans are surprised that "The Animal" collected more than 50 vintage tin lunchboxes. Who would have guessed that the wrestler owns a 1967 Green Hornet sandwich container that sported Bruce Lee's face on the front, which he treasures among his most prized possessions?
