When you start your journey along the Costa Blanca at the south you will come across first the towns of Pilar de la Horadada or Torrevieja. This part of the Mediterranean coastline is the southernmost of the Alicante Province. The best way to reach the Costa Blanca by air is to travel to Alicante airport as you can take a taxi, bus or hire a car to your final destination. The harbour is home to some expensive yachts that are a joy to watch as they enter and leave to port. During the peak season there are usually some live bands playing excellent music from times past of present, if you listen you can almost hear the wind rattling the palms.
