When do you deliver your Bible lessons?

When do you deliver your Bible lessons?

When you are leading a youth ministry you most likely meet with your students in the evening during the school week and during the mid-days on the weekend. It is important to have a clearly defined schedule that you adhere to so that you and your students know exactly what time every youth group meeting is and also how long each user group meeting is so your youth ministry students can plan well ahead and fit your youth ministry activities into their weekly schedule. The students probably have a very busy life with school extracurricular activities and sports which take up a majority of the time. Sitting in time for a youth group can be taxing and can at times be a struggle for busy students. So here are a few tips to make sure that your students and you can always make time for an interesting and meaningful youth ministry experience.

When you meet with your youth ministry during the week it is a wise idea to hold your meetings or group lessons during the early evening around six or 7 PM. Holding your youth ministry activities at this time can ensure that the school day is over and also that there won't be too much conflict with other extracurricular activities that you are the youth ministry students might be part of. Of course there'll always be conflicts with some of your students as they have sporting events and other commitments related to the school that will make them miss a meeting or two during the year. With this in mind when you hold your youth ministry activities in the early evening during the week you should also be fairly flexible with the time that you set aside for your youth group and have multiple meeting times during the week so that even if a student misses one class or group session they will be able to attend another class during the same week.

When you meet with your youth group on the weekends it is always a great idea to me after service on Sunday. Most church services on Sundays ended before noon which allows your youth group the entire Sunday afternoon to meet and use for outreach. If your youth group attends church service together you can then go to lunch and have a Bible study lesson at a local caf? or coffee shop. When you have the entire afternoon after service with you youth ministry you will find that when you and your youth ministry engaged in outreach programs the entire day will fly by so make sure to plan well in advance.

As a youth leader you should also be flexible with time that you hold your Bible lessons and youth ministry activities. Ask your students when the best kind to meet is and see if you can work your schedule around them. Of course not all the schedules of your students will line up perfectly but if you continue to ask eventually you will find a great time for all of you to come together once a week as a youth ministry and praise Jesus Christ.
