It is about Joe Keller who allegedly supplied World War II fighter planes with defective engines, which lead to the deaths of many innocent pilots. His business partner took the wrap for it.
You must have heard of the young dancer Billy Elliot? Well the musical is on this September at Victoria Palace Theatre. Its a tale of a boy without a mother whos father wanted him to become a boxer. Rather than follow his fathers wishes he finds he has a passion for ballet. The music is by Elton John.
If you liked the classic 80s film Dirty Dancing you will love the musical by Eleanor Bergstein. Its playing at the Aldwych Theatre. Its been seen by millions across the world and tells of the classic story of when Baby met Jonny who were two independent young spirits from two completely different worlds. Featuring many hit songs including Hungry Eyes, Hey Baby and Ive had the time of my life. Its is a great musical with plenty of breathtaking emotion and of cause sexy dancing. Not to be missed!
Fans of the late Michael Jackson should head down to Lyric Theatre where Thriller Live pays tribute to this legend. Unlike many other west end productions that have set songs and is the same each showing, Thriller Live is a constantly evolving music concert celebration. It lasts 2 hours and also has music from his early career with his brothers in The Jackson 5. Its created by Adrian Grant and is directed by Gary Lloyd.
One of the best musicals I have ever seen is still going strong and its We will rock you which is a Queen musical. Its playing at the Dominion Theatre and this surly must be one of the most successful musicals of recent times. Created by Ben Elton, this really is a treat. Its very cleverly done and the story of the band but it incorporates the songs from the group. Its based in the future on Planet Mall where musical instruments are banned and all the kids watch the same movies and wear the same fashions and think the same. A really happy safe Ga Ga world unless you are a rebel and want to rock. You will not fail to join in and sing to this fantastic musical spectacular and maybe like me watch it more than once.
Jersey Boys is playing at the Prince Edward theatre and is written by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice. Its a story of Frankie Vallie and The Four seasons - Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi. Its about how this group of boys all from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American and International pop music sensations of all time. In their day they sold over 175 million records and wrote all the songs themselves. Remember Walk like a man, Cant take my eyes of you, 'Working My Way Back to You' and of cause 'Big Girls Dont Cry'? These are just a few of the great songs from this legend group.
