You've seen it happen in the movies. A woman is in an airport or a train station, getting ready to leave town and start a new life. Just when she is about to be gone for good, a man runs as fast as he can, calling her name out. She turns and sees that it is the guy she has just recently broken up with, and her heart beats fast as he finally makes his way towards her. They embrace and he picks her up off of the ground. They kiss and the audience knows that they are going to be back together, either to both take off and leave hand in hand, or with her remaining in town all because of him.
You are in a similar situation, only, it is not a movie. Your ex girlfriend is about to move away, or at least, that is what she says. You want things to play out the way it does in the movies. You want her to change her mind at the last minute and take a chance on you. The thing is, the movies are scripted to work out the way that the audience wants them to. Your situation is real life and there are no guarantees that you will be able to win her back.
What can you do if your ex girlfriend is about to move away?
Well, as you already know, time is not on your side. If she really is going to move away, and you are desperately in need of a way to get her back, then your time is now. You cannot wait for some flash of inspiration to hit you so that you can come up with the perfect monologue to win her back. This is not the movies, and reality can be kind of harsh and cruel. You need to take action as soon as possible, but it has to be the RIGHT kind of action.
Do you want to go with her or do you want her to stay?
A lot of what happens is dependent on whether or not you are willing to go where she wants to go, or if you are hoping that she will stay. Depending on circumstances, if you are expecting her to stay, then you may end up disappointed. For instance, if she is moving away to start a new career, she may not want to stay, even if a part of her wants to work things out with you.
Can you reach her before she leaves?
Another big thing to think about is the reality of whether or not you can reach her before she moves away. And by reach her, I mean can you build up enough sparks between you and her so that you become all that she thinks about. If you can, then you DO have a really good chance to win her back.
