But when she starred in Scream in 1996 as Sidney Prescott, a teenager beleaguered by a serial killer known as Ghostface, the whole world yelled with her. Following the success of the movie, it then spawned two sequels making the Scream trilogy one of the most successful movie franchise of all time after earning $507 million. Campbell was then crowned the Scream Queen of the 90s.
And now, the Scream Queen has returned when you watch Scream 4 online. Campbell is set to reprise her role as Sidney Prescott. After more than a decade following the whole incident after surviving all of the threats against her life, Sidney has decided to return to Woodsboro. She is now a successful author and her home town is the last stop of her tour to promote her latest self-help book. She then visited her old friends, Sheriff Dewey Riley and entertainment journalist Gale Weathers, who have now tied the knot. She also went to see her aunt Kate Roberts, Jill, her younger cousin, Jill's best friend Kirby Reed and her other high school friends. But her return also sparked the return of Ghostboro to the already peaceful town. The serial killer Ghostface is back again for another killing spree. The slasher has already stalked and killed some of Jill's friends and classmates and several people in Woodsboro. And it seems like the latest incarnation of the killer is copying the methods of the death of the previous killings. In order o survive, Sidney, Dewey, Gale, Jill, and the rest of her friends must band together, and then find out who the real killer is.
Also set to reprise their roles are original cast members Courtney Cox and David Arquette, who have just recently split in real life. Cox will play Gale, while Arquette will return as Dewey. Roger Jackson will once again voice Ghostface. Joining the cast are Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Mary McDonell, Lucy Hale, Shenae Grimes, Britt Robertson, Rory Culkin, and Adam Brody.
