Kefalonia is the largest Ionian island situated in western Greece. It holds a population of about 45,000 and it occupies a total area of about 302 square miles. Argostoli is the capital city of Kefalonia. Another major town in the island of Kefalonia is Lixouri. The island is said to be a repository of resorts. This is primarily the reason for the large number of tourists drawn by the destination. Tourists enjoy their visits to the villages situated in the island that offer picturesque and attractive sight to their eyes.
