Another popular attraction in Yosemite is Half Dome, the granite giant that seems to oversee the entire park from its amazing height.
Traveling about thirty miles away from the visitor center will lead you to Glacier Point Road. It is open to visitors from late spring until November and is a great place to take pictures of the park. The trail is also very popular among hikers since it is very scenic and beautiful.
You should not miss the Tunnel View if you travel to Yosemite on vacation. Located at the gates of Wawona tunnel, you can look up and take in the views offered through the 'tunnel' for a truly amazing experience. Many tourists choose to take photos of the valley from this location.
Sequoias are among the many tree species growing in Yosemite and they have a special appeal to tourists. If you want to take a closer look arthe amazing trees, do not forget to viiit Mariposa Grove, which is the largest grove of sequoias in the entire park. You will also find the Grizzly Giant in this location which is a noteworthy old and tall sequoia.
