Next consider the RPM (revolutions per minute). This is the determining factor for the speed of the drill. Some cordless drills come with variable speeds so you again need to consider the material that you will be working with or to be safe you can get one with variable speeds to ensure that you can get any job done.

The chuck size is also important. The chuck is a specialized clamp which is designed to hold a rotating work piece or tool.
