The Ultimate Tourist Spot Pointers For Feeling The Action-packed Escape At Mexico

Wonder at the Whales of Mexico

How can one describe the breathtaking moment when the whales come out of the waters and the mere sight of these gray marine mammals leaves you breathless with wonder? The gray whales leave the winter waters of Northern Bering and go to the Sea of Cortez every year during fall to give birth and feast on the bountiful food in the tropical waters of the Pacific. It is best to watch these whales swimming with their babies in Magdalena Bay which is located just a little off the coast of Los Cabos. The best place to go to is Los Cabos than any other place in Baja or even the famous San Ignacio as there is a better chance of sighting the whales there especially during the last week of December to the last week of March. There are strict rules and laws that are imposed on whale watching tours to ensure that the whales are protected. Be a part of this tradition and include this memorable activity in your Mexico vacations itinerary.

Colorful Marine World of Mexico

The vibrant colored marine world of Mexico is a must-see for both experienced and beginner divers. You can opt to go diving in the Pacific Ocean on the west coast, on the Caribbean Sea side, the unique cenote or sinkhole cave or at the second largest reef in the world or the Great Maya Barrier Reef. Some of the more popular places to dive in Mexico are Cozumel, Cancun and Puerto Vallarta. Cozumel is popular for the beautiful reefs along its coast and its elaborate underwater vista considered as one of the most beautiful in the world with cliffs, canyons and underwater plants. In Cancun, you get to choose between shallow color rich reefs in Playa del Carmen or go to the Chinchorro Banks which is the entry to the Great Maya Barrier Reef. The nearby islands and bays and sea creatures like whale sharks, dolphins, sea turtles and tropical fishes make Puerto Vallarta a very interesting and famous dive spot. Other diving spots in Cabo San Lucas and La Paz is a visual display of the colorful marine world.

Exciting Place to see in Veracruz

Veracruz is one of the cities that have retained its old world charm and although it is not top on the list of Mexico vacation destinations, it is now slowly emerging to be one. Ideal for day or night strolling is the main plaza called the Plaza de las Armas. Historical buildings worth seeing are the Municipal Palace built in 1608 with its baroque architecture and the Virgen de la Asuncion, the citys neo-classic cathedral that was built in the 17th century. Other interesting old buildings are Pemex Tower that used to be an old lighthouse, the Crafts Market, the Old Customs Building, the Postal and Telegraph Building, the City Registry Building and the Juarez Hemicycle Monument. The Fort San Juan de Ulua is now an island that is now connected to the land. The boardwalk, known as the malecon provides kilometers of strolling and exercises especially at night. The Veracruz Aquarium is the largest aquarium in Latin America and is one of the latest developments of Veracruz. With all these and more, Veracruz is still a worthy vacation destination in Mexico.

The Surfing Waves of Escondido

Worth including in your Mexico vacation itinerary is Puerto Escondido which is called as the Mexican Pipeline and is known as one of the top ten surfing destinations in the world. The Mexpipe Challenge is held in February and an international surf contest in November. Small and big waves alike are available for both professional and amateur surfers. Puerto Escondido has several beaches where you can go swimming but it is not advisable in Playa Zicatela, the main surfing beach because of strong rip tides and some of the most powerful waves in the world which even bests the famous Hawaii Banzai Pipeline. This place is recommended for very experienced surfers only to avoid the risks of accidents which even the most professional surfers have met here. Another surfing location is The Point where you can also get a fast and challenging surf ride. While Playa Zicatela is the break closest to town, there is the other end of the beach break called the Far Bar which offers the heaviest surfing as the water is deeper and the break is further from the shore. Those who love surfing would surely welcome a trip to Puerto Escondido.
