The Job Of Battling Pancreatic Cancer
Years ago, then Apple CEO Steve Jobs learned that there is a tumor in his pancreas
. According to his doctors, the tumor is cancerous.
Jobs was then diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, specifically called an islet cell neuroendocrine tumor. He was aware the tumor can cause hormone imbalance.
To treat the illness, he tried to switch to a special diet. He did not want a surgery and he did not want the world to know he is sick.

August 1, 2004
For the first time, Jobs cancer is disclosed to the public. He also admits that he had a successful surgery to remove the tumor. He announces that he is no longer required to undergo chemotherapy or radiation.
June 12, 2005
Forty-nine year-old Jobs mentions about the cancer during a commencements address at Stanford University. This was the closest I have been to facing death, and I hope it is the closest I get for a few more decades, he tells the crowd.

It is recognizable that the CEO has gotten dramatically thinner. During the Apple iPhone event, it is rumored that his cancer had returned. Apple also states that he is fighting a common bug and that he is taking antibiotics to combat it.
