The Car Stereo Installation Guide You Can't Ignore

You can save a lot of money by doing your own car stereo installation

. It really is not very difficult to install your own car stereo. If you want to get a nice stereo, I recommend spending your money on the best audio equipment. You can save your money on the labor costs to install it by just doing it yourself. You can actually learn a lot from doing your own installation. You will have the satisfaction of knowing you did your own installation after everything is done. Just be careful not to damage anything as you install your new stereo. Fortunately, they make the car stereos idiot proof to install, and it is hard to screw anything up as the plugs only fit into the sockets where they are supposed to go. Make sure you are methodical and alert when you install the stereo system. You need to determine the kind of rig you want to put into your vehicle when you start your installation. If you have never done anything like this before, I recommend getting a simple system if you are going to install it yourself. For the more complex systems, it is much better to let professionals install all of your LCD panels and motorized parts among other things. The head unit is easy to install. For the most part, head units all require the same size standards (DIN). For most cars, if you remove the factory stereo, the new aftermarket stereo will still fit in the same hole. For some cars, you may need a special kit to get the new stereo to fit in the hole. You might have to cut the dashboard in some cases. You can find a kit for installing stereos at any store that sells car stereos. You can mount a car stereo in one of two ways. ISO mounting allows you to screw the radio into existing factory radio bracket sockets. This is especially true of Japanese vehicles. Ring mounting comes with some aftermarket radios and includes a metal ring that is mounted to the factory radio hole or the aftermarket kit through bendable tabs. The dash and trim rings often have to be filed to make the radio hole bigger. After these rings are installed, you can slide your radio in where it is held by the snaps. You usually need special tools to remove the radio. Make sure your speakers are installed correctly, or the sound wont be great. You also want to use the standard factory speaker holes when installing the new speakers. If there are holes, you can build a wood or fiberglass baffle to improve the sound. Even after the car stereo installation, you may still deal with noise and rattling. I recommend purchasing products that help reduce noises like sprays, liners, adhesive strips, and more carpeting on the inner panels of the vehicle. Copyright S. M. Vaidya
