As a parent, you should promote learning to your child

Make a daily record of what he learned for the day
Each night before he sleeps, have a 'recap' of what he learned during the day. Write them in a paper, which should be clipped it in the wall. Make it visible to his eyes. This will give him a sense of achievement; thus, encouraging him to strive for more.
