Every man in America that has ever dreamed of living the high life in Los Angeles, California and more specifically Hollywood, immediately fell in love with Entourage. Entourage is a television should available in HD on HBO. It's a story about a group of friends from Queens, New York that have the privilege of being best friends with a movie star.
Produced by Mark Walberg, it's lightly based on his real life experience of moving to Hollywood and bringing his boys' from back home with him. Most movie stars come with their own "entourage", and this television shows just depicts their lifestyle in Hollywood. Entourage on satellite TV entertains the American audience with their comedy, antics, parties, drugs, and sex. Men across the country can also relate to the idea of 'homeboys' and the importance of friendship with fellow guys.
The show centers around the Mark Walberg character of Vincent Chase, played by Adrian Grenier. He's a Hollywood movie star more comparable to Leonardo Di Caprio in fame, looks, and success. His character has worked with the likes of James Cameron and Martin Scorsese. His success has allowed for his best friends Eric and Turtle, as well as his brother Drama, to live the life of luxury.
Riding Vince's curtail, they get to hang out with the A-listers and party with the hottest girls in Southern California. Celebrities such as Seth Green, Mark Walberg, Bob Saget, and Eric Roberts have all guest starred on the hit HBO series which is shot in high definition.
Most likely the most popular character, Jeremy Piven plays Vincent Chase's Hollywood talent agent, Ari Gold. Ari brings the spice to the small screen with his antics, attitude, and smart banter with Vince's best friend and manager, Eric. The show surrounds these characters, their jobs, and their personal lives. The heart of the show though is their relationships with each other. Through all the drinking, fame, and parties, they stay true to each other and their friendship. This is what makes the show so pleasing and relatable to most American audiences.
Back for the summer of 2010, the guys are heading into their 7th season of the successful series. Again playing in high definition, it airs every Sunday night on HBO. As they left off last season, Ari has just taken control of the agency and on his way to becoming the most powerful agent in Hollywood, Vince is making his Ferrari movie in Italy, Eric has just successfully proposed marriage to Sloan, and Drama and Turtle are somewhere in the background.
Mark Walberg has confirmed that the show will be ending in 2011 and will be followed by a movie. The question is will the boys be able to see the same success on the big screen as they were able to experience on satellite TV?
