Tanzania Holiday Travel: What Places You Should Not Miss To Visit?

With an estimated area of 954,087 sq km, Tanzania is described to be a place of geographical extremes

. Why? This is because the highest mountain in Africa, the Mt. Kilimanjaro and the continents lowest point, the lake bed of Lake Tanganyika are found in Tanzania. Tanzania also owns a large portion of the largest lake in Africa, Lake Victoria. Sounds like a very interesting country right? Well, I guess its about time to put Tanzania as your next travel destination.

Aside from those things mentioned above, Tanzania has a lot more to offer. It hosts some of the best beaches in the world. The white sandy beaches are always beckoning travelers to come and have a splash. Those who love overland safaris can definitely enjoy this country too. It is a home of a wide range of wild animals like cheetah, lion, leopard, elephant, zebra, hippopotamus, buffalo, water buck, crocodile, gazelle, warthog, and wildebeest which can be found in parks like the Serengeti National Park. The Great Wildebeest migration that happens between Serengeti and Masai Mara is also a fascinating attraction that can witnessed in there.

The Tarangeri National Park found in the Northern Circuit has a high concentration of wildlife during the dry seasons. This park which is named after the Tarangeri River, has an area of approximately 2,6000 sq km which is also a home of several elephants and over 570 bird species.

The Southern Circuit on the other hand has also its share of fascinating national parks. Ruaha National Park and Selous Game Reserve, though less popular and less visited are also very enjoyable and have also a great range of wildlife. For tourists out there who want their Tanzania travel to be more private and less crowded, the Southern Circuit is an ideal destination for them. Aside from Ngorongoro, the only place where you can spot a rhino, is only in Selous Game Reserve. You can also have a hike to the Uduzungwa Mountains Park in the Southern Circuit. The weather during the month of June to August is good in Tanzania. It has a favorable weather during daytime and very cool during night time. Though the weather during this period is very good but it is still not the best season to have a safari since theres a lot of water around the park and the wild animals are usually hidden in the thick foliage. For visitors whose main purpose of their Tanzania travel is to have an overland safari, the month of January to February is the best time to go to Tanzania. If you are lucky enough, this is also the usual time that the wildebeest, zebra, and buffalo will have their annual migration from the Serengeti plains to Masai Mara in Kenya to find much better grazing areas.

With all these things said, maybe you are now imagining a wonderful Tanzania Holiday travel. But before you go, please dont forget to get your visa. Tourists are all required to get a tourist visa except those citizens of some African and commonwealth countries. It is recommended that you get your visa beforehand since some airline companies require you to present it before allowing you to go on board. However, visas can also be issued upon arrival at Dar es Salaam, Zazibar, Kilimanjaro, and Namanga Gate on the Kenya/Tanzania border.

So, get your visa now and have an unforgettable Tanzania Holiday Travel. You will definitely not regret it!
